Peighton has been taking aerial silks lessons at ArtFit Oregon
since March 2024 and she advanced quickly to the kids
intermediate/advanced silks class. Peighton is a true performer;
she is poised, has amazing lines, is very controlled, and styles to
the music. Also, Peighton is an excellent demonstrator and she
would make an incredible instructor someday, if she ever chooses
to teach aerial silks. Furthermore, Peighton is very caring and
consoles and encourages other students when they are struggling
in class. Peighton is a pleasure to have in class, in which she has
great work ethic and is a well-rounded individual.
Let us learn more about Peighton from her perspective.
My favorite artists are Dan + Shay, Carly Pearce, and Cody
Johnson. My favorite song is ‘Light on in the Kitchen’ by Ashley
McBryde.
I have a lot of hobbies that I love! I love to bake and create new
recipes. I also love to ride my horse, Kansas, and I love doing
aerial silks and theater.
My biggest dream or goal in life is to own my own bakery and to

also own horses.
Three awesome things about myself are that I have my own baking business, Sweet Sunflour Baking Co. I am
homeschooled and have been since kindergarten. I love to perform whether it is doing aerial silks or theater.
I did an intro to silks class a couple of years ago and loved it but there was not anything available
in the area until Artfit Oregon opened. I was so excited to start taking classes there!
The benefits I have gained by taking these classes are that I have gotten a lot of arm strength and improved on
my flexibility. I also have been able to make some great friends that also love doing silks.
My biggest achievement in aerial silks so far is learning my first rotation. It was both exciting and scary to let

go the first time!
The biggest challenge that I faced when I began training in aerial silks were my weak ankles! Sharon gave me a
lot of exercises to work on at home and this helped me to be able to keep my foot turned out when it was
wrapped.
My most rewarding thing in aerial silks so far has been gaining confidence to learn new techniques.
I love doing performances and hope we have a lot of future ones to do!
